About the project
Louise’s family home in Muswell Hill had not been touched since the early 1990s. A full renovation reconfigured the ground floor and basement to better connect the house with the garden. Use of natural materials including marble, smoked oak and unlacquered metals reflect Louise’s aim to create a welcoming, unfussy home to be enjoyed hosting family and friends.
DESIGN
The colour palette and material choices draw on the family’s love of the English countryside, giving a nod to the nostalgic charm of a country cottage, whilst respecting the architectural features of the property and remaining rooted in leafy North London.
